Good Game…’Project Runway’ format
This new fashion-typed pc games is good I bought it today and have already played it once. I am a huge fashion lover so its great that there are FINALLY!! pc games styled after fashion. I have IMAGINE FASHION DESIGNER pc game and love it. This game highly reminds me of the tv show ‘Project Runway’ it gives the player a chance to be creative and let the imagination flow. This game and those like it are good for all ages.
Could use a lot of work
This games has a nice idea but is poorly executed. The Models are giant amazons with no expresion at all. The clothes are awkward and don’t look real at all. The choices are limited and not what I expected. By far the runway walk is the worst.. or best if you need a laugh. Scary models stump down the runway do there strange poses and then you wait to see if you pass. I would not recommend this to anyone who really loves fashion design or the show project runway, you will just feel stupid for making this purchase. I did go out and buy imagine which I am waiting for. The box is misleading and not acurate.
Fun, but could’ve been much better
I’m an avid Project Runway fan and I enjoy fashion very much. While I really enjoy this game, I do believe it could’ve been better. Okay, I’ll further explain…
The game can be played in 2 different modes. The Competition mode is where you compete against different designers and you are given a specific challenge, just like in Project Runway. Then you have to compete on the runway against the other designers in the challenge. On the runway you are judged by 3 different judges. There are several different fabric choices, textures, accessories, shoes and fabric styles to choose from. Pros for me are the wide fabric selection and the make-up choices.
One problem for me is that all of the models that you can choose from look exactly alike except for skin color. Also where the textures are, it has only a very small avatar representing each fabric texture; it would’ve been better had a small description been gave as well. Under glamourous styles there is only 2-3 dress templates to go off of. Also, after you beat the challenge game a few times(which I did in one night), the challenges never change if you play again. This makes gameplay very limited and quickly boring.
There is also a Freestyle design where you can just design and save it to your collection where it’s never judged at all. Other pluses are the photo shoot deal and the wardrobe feature where you can revisit your latest winners or latest flops in the competions.
Overall, it’s a fun game which I do enjoy & would probably purchase it again. I think it’s more for a tween age group. If you’re a more mature Runway fan you will probably get bored of this game in a few days, as it’s easily beaten and doesn’t have but one complete mission. Buy it, but just don’t expect a whole lot of variety! A solid 3 stars, but could’ve been made a 5 stars with some more variety.
